I know this review is going to feel like it's coming out of left field, but hear me out. The Socialite has a small section by the entrance that sells boba and slushies, and is one of the few spots near Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf that does so... you take what you can get.
I was with a group of student employees and we were all trying to find some cafe or drink to burn some time. Walking by The Socialite, we found they had a corner with boba, much to our surprise.
The boba here was very standard and normal for SF prices (around $8 for a drink). We figured why not since we were craving some. With the setup being as small as it is, it was obvious that everything would be pretty standard with powdered teas and flavored syrups, but they surprisingly did add some pizazz with some fresh fruit for some of the drinks that my students ordered.
I went with a basic Oolong Milk Tea (which they claimed was non-dairy) and it was fine. It scratched the itch that I had instead of needing to go all the way to Chinatown for boba on such a short time frame. Give it a go if you really want some boba while visiting this area of the City.
Atmosphere was loud. .My DE TACO drink was disappointing. My jalapeños poppers were not spicy. My wife was was satisfied with her Mac and cheese. Diet Pepsi drink in a 12oz can was $6. I do not think we will be back, but you must try for yourself.
I needed a place for a large group at only a day's notice, and Aaron was totally fantastic in making that happen! He makes such delicious drinks, and the food is great, too! We were so thankful that he could make things work for us, and recommend going here. Try the purple magic cocktail, it's amazing!
Used to frequent the original location on Brannan. Pleasantly surprised to find this place July 4th in the Embarcadero. Big open space, inside and outside space has games and lots of tables. Fresh pizzas, great service and good drinks. And they have a SWING in the window. Great spot to people watch for 15 min ( time limit ) well done team.
The service here was great. The bartender and server were very friendly and helpful and the chef came by to chat for a bit as well.
We stopped in for drinks while we waited for the kids in our group to experience the 3d Illusion Museum a couple of doors down.
The drinks were very impressive. We tried the Cucumber Gimlet, Cold Brew Martini and the Old Fashioned. Everyone really enjoyed theirs. We also sampled the beers on tap although those weren't nearly as amazing as the cocktails.
Chicken Wings were excellent. They were cooked to perfection and battered differently than most restaurants.
We will have to come back and try more food items the next time we are in the area!
