This is a great place for lunch or dinner. I'm not sure how late it's open. The seating is a little tight but they always seem to find a spot for us. It doesn't matter what you order I guarantee you will be satisfied. Especially with the potato salad and the coleslaw. The parking isn't too bad. The staff are always happy to see you. What first impressed me was that the owner comes out and asks each customer if they need anything . On your way out don't forget to stop at the deli and try some of their delicious pastries or other food items.
I stop at Cecil's whenever I'm near Highland. The restaurant is always satisfying and the old school deli is great! Excellent chopped liver, potato salad and all the usual, delicious deli staples.
They also have Vienna poppyseed buns, relish, sport peppers, everything you need to make Chicago Dogs! You can't make a proper Chicago Dog without these ingredients, it's worth the trip!!!
Very busy place, a bit busy and very squeezed table area. Food was INCREDIBLE! I had the classic Rueben, and creamy coleslaw! I can't wait to return! Thank you to the excellent kitchen crew! (One cook short too)
This place is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to this restaurant. Whenever I want to go to a special lunch, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. excellent and varied food and a rich cuisine.generous staff, and good ambience. Also, the bill is good. I suggest this spot with great pleasure.
Excellent food! Great service, even though it was a crowded lunch time. A great neighborhood restaurant/deli. Very popular. Parking is in the neighborhood streets around it. In the Highland Park area of St. Paul. Also a great tea shop a few blocks south.
